Just got home from getting my childs 1 year vaccines and I am not impressed. This was the first time that instead of having an appointment, I went on a drop in day. I was told on the phone that they start right at 8am and was made to believe that if I didn't get there AT 8am that I would probably have to wait a while. I was the first one in, I was standing there when she unlocked the door. Slowly the waiting room filled up with other parents and kids. Absolutely nothing to play with for the kids. It was a bit after 8:30 when I finally went to ask the receptionist why no one has been called in yet and she tells me that "we don't start until 8:30, and the nurses haven't come out from their meeting yet, which is weird. We should be starting right away." Literally everyone in the waiting room was told 8:00, not 8:30. When I get in with the nurse she gave my 1 year old her shots in her arms instead of her legs....after I questioned it twice she seemed totally oblivious to my concern and did it that way anyways. Gave the needles slowly and did nothing to help me distract my daughter. This is the only time that I've ever had a problem with public health, but I really felt like this was a deliberate disregard of the value of OUR time. If you tell people that you're starting at 8, start at 8.
The place is calm and pleasant. Lots of toys for kids to play with. Private Breastfeeding corner with change pad for baby. Nurses are really caring and friendly.
