We have taken our dog to stay for a weekend at VIP Pet Care on two occasions, and have been very happy with it. The staff are friendly, quick, and competent, and our dog is always happy, healthy, and exhausted when we pick him up. I worked for years at a kennel, and VIP Pet Care seems top-notch.If you're looking for a kennel in Regina, I would highly recommend VIP Pet Care!
We were informed on the spot that having vitamins premixed into our dogs food was going to be an additional $2 per meal. This made no sense to us, seeing as there is no extra effort required and have never had a similar charge from other boarders. The worker at the front desk (should have got her name) was rude and condescending in explaining it to us and told us we don't have to leave our dog there, instead of a number of different things she could have said or done. There is also no green space for the animals, and since our dog has bad hips, this is bad for his joints when he runs/plays. Again, when we asked about this, the front desk was rude and condescending, saying that they were trying to prevent ticks... odd seeing as it is an industrial area and no other boarders with grass have this concern. My dog was happy when leaving, so I imagine his care was good. However, for customer service alone, I would never recommend this establishment to others. I just want my dog to be cared for, I don't need to be talked down to in the process.
The staff here are super wonderful with the animals! I've picked up my friends dog from them, and every time they're super lovely. Plus - Moses (the dog) absolutely loves it here. I've never seen an animal so enthusiastic to be away from his family, and so tuckered out from play by the end of his trip.Highly recommend.
Very friendly staff and my dog came back happy
The staff clearly love dogs. And although they have 100+ per day, they always remember my dog's name. My only suggestion would be to have some greenspace.
