I have been a member at this gym for 3.5 years, and to be honest, for me, the best thing about this gym was cancelling my membership. After years of voicing health and safety concerns about the sanitary condition of this facility, and after personal commitments from the owner for improvements, I saw few results. Read comments below about the cleanliness of the facility - theyre accurate. Comments below about inappropriate comments from staff to members and the public - also accurate.Ill give this review a second star because there is a lot of good equipment... providing of course that it isnt forever occupied. Farewell Evolution. Its been a slice.

I have been a member for eight years, and nearly always attend the Pasqua location because I play squash regularly and because it's just a couple of minutes away from where I live. It has become progressively frustrating at the gym. Service has gone downhill, the friendly and personal service of years ago where people knew your name and cared about you as a person is gone. Maintenance has become more and more problematic. The steam room is very important for myself and others and it has been broken the better part of several months now. When I went to the East location a few weeks back (basically to use the sauna and steam room post-workout), the showers were broken. Flukes happen, but please repair quickly and if repairs either won't or can't happen quickly, please keep membership posted on progress with updates, etc. The squash courts continue to fall apart and we realize that no further investment is going into them now. In summary, more and more aspects of the club are disappointing me and my friends, and if an opportunity arises for us to move the squash community we will probably have to look long and hard...

I cancelled the membership within 30 days back in January 2015. It was to be a no charge as stated in the Gold's Gym contract. Now in the year 2018 I discovered they had nailed my credit bureau for over 3000 dollars saying basically I owe the entire membership I didn't use. I called the manager and they wouldn't take my call. Nobody ever returned my message. They are basically trying to blackmail me on my credit for 3000 dollars.Since then the owner has changed the brand of the facility to Evolution. Same owner.Letter written to me as follows,At Jul 23, 2015, 9:22:41 AM, Amber Mortonwrote:The amount that is owing for the cancellation fee is $208.95, the reason the full amount was not showing up was because I put the fee in as smaller payments, I have updated the account so that when you go in to make a payment the full cancellation fee shows up. Even though it may not show up as owing you do need to pay that in order to cancel your membership. You are able to make smaller payments over a short period of time if you want but you would need to call me in order to set that up.You have 2 options. You can pay the cancellation fee and the account will be cancelled and you wont be hassled again from us. Or you can not pay the cancellation fee and eventually go to collections for the remaining portion of the term which is $1676.85. Its your choice.Let me know which option you choose.

If there were a zero option, I'd choose that. If you can't attend the gym for health reasons, you should be allowed a refund if you've not entered their establishment once. I think their policy needs to be rewritten to protect people from feeling swindled out of money when they have no choice and there's no clear info stating that you can even cancel your membership free of charge for medical reasons. Even the staff wasn't knowledgeable about this, I had to research it and bring it up myself. If it's an option it should be clearly stated. I was told when I signed up that the only option for this is if you moved out of the city. This is why I'm upset and out over $400. They also make their free week seem like a privileged gift when they call you if you get your name pulled out of a box when you enter for a free year, but they give that free grace period to everyone. Thanks again! ;-)

Terrible experience and I havent even gone to this gym. I signed up for the free trial and their membership sales rep had been nagging and had told me that I wouldnt be charged if I signed it and that I was able to cancel it if I no longer wanted to continue after the free trial. Big surprise that she no longer works there. I specifically told her that I didnt want any charges on my account because I was not ready to start using the gym as we were moving between cities. She wanted us to try out the gym because she wanted us to take the opportunity with the 0$ enrolment fee but I told her that as long as I dont get charges from then and now, I wont mind paying the enrolment fee down the road. Next thing I knew, I got two different charges on my account and they said they couldnt do anything about it for another week or so. I doubt that sales rep even canceled it for me as I told her I wanted it canceled. The manager on the phone was very rude and not understanding with my situation and raised his tone at me. Imagine getting charged for something that you didnt know about? Im sure youd do the same thing and demand a refund and be treated with some respect. Would not recommend this gym to anybody.
